Business licensing bylaw up for vote

The amended version of the town’s business licensing bylaw could take another step forward tonight.
The Planning and Development executive committee has recommended town council approve the amended business licensing bylaw and direct staff to prepare a final version for passage at council’s Nov. 14 meeting.
Muskies handed ‘Homecoming’ headache

The undefeated Dryden Eagles swooped into town and sank their talons into the winless Muskies before flying off with a 57-0 victory Friday afternoon in Fort High’s annual “Homecoming” game to close out the WHSFL regular season.

Muskie girls win tourney
It was a “Classic” case of playing one’s best hockey at the right time.
The Muskie girls’ hockey team scored three unanswered goals in the third period yesterday to earn a 4-1 win over the Lord Selkirk Royals (Winnipeg) and capture the ‘A’-side title at the 2016 Husky Classic tournament.

But it was their momentum that was broken the following night.
The Lakers won their first home game of the SIJHL regular season Friday night with an 8-1 romp over the Minnesota Iron Rangers 8-1 at the Ice For Kids Arena.
