Rainycrest dietary manager Dwayne Hunking handed over a cup of bean salad to a disguised Ruth Caldwell yesterday during the Rainycrest Volunteer Appreciation Mexican Fiesta in Hallett Hall there. The luncheon featured a tasty taco salad meal from the “cantina,” followed by dessert, as well as some prizes and games. Staff even said “gracias” to the volunteers by singing to those on hand.

The Rainy River District Festival of the Performing Arts wrapped up its 76th-annual edition today.
