As a new open water season arrives here in Northwest Ontario we all need to be aware of aquatic hitchhikers on our boats as they become more established around us. Over the past couple of decades there have been several invasive species that have found their way into our region but with more awareness hopefully we can slow further spread of all species.
Racing start delayed
The Emo Speedway has announced a delay to the start of its season, due to COVID-19.
Under the revised season schedule, the season opener will be the Race for the Fallen, June 26 and 27, with a rain date of June 28, according to the club's Facebook page.
Emo Express hockey results
The Emo Express hockey board has chosen to cancel the annual hockey banquet all together. This is due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The board realizes everyone will miss the banquet and look forward to the event next year.

Local golf courses get set to open
Golf courses across the province have been given the green light on Monday to prepare for the upcoming season, and Huron Landing Golf Club will be ready for the first tee-time.

The Elliotts and their tour group joined a multi day cruise down the Yangtze River in China. The river is a thoroughfare for commercial and passenger traffic. They began in the city of Wuhan, with sites of skyscrapers, before heading out into the countryside.
