The Rainy River District Municipal Association (RRDMA) is requesting that the town pass a resolution of support for a Northwestern Ontario Wound Care Centre of Excellence at this evening's regular council meeting.

Lakers open season with pair of wins

The Fort Frances Lakers couldn't have asked for much of a better start to the SIJHL season.

The Lakers routed the Thief River Falls Norskies 8-2 in their home-opener on Friday night before following that up the next night with a comeback 3-2 overtime victory on the road to sweep the home-and-home series.

Muskie football squad nabs first win

The second time was the charm for the Muskie football team.

Fort High was able to pull away in the second half as they cruised to a 50-25 romp over the Neelin Spartans in Winnipeg High School Football League action last Thursday afternoon in Winnipeg.

Junior girls' basketball team splits Dryden tourney

The Muskie junior girls' basketball team played well and came away with a 2-2 record at a one-day tournament hosted by the Dryden Eagles on Friday.

After winning their NorWOSSA season-opener against the host Kenora Broncos by a 26-14 count last Tuesday, the Muskies again dispatched them in the rematch to start the tourney on Friday by a 44-23 margin.

I researched the subject online and tried many of the techniques that promised perfectly smooth eggs. I even went so far as to purchase an egg holder for my pressure cooker.
