“Rainy River Valley Beginnings” may end up under quite a few Christmas trees this year.
The highly-anticipated book focusing on the pioneer photography of William Hampden Tener received an enthusiastic response during its launch Thursday evening at the Fort Frances Museum.

Santa waving
Santa Claus waved to the throngs of fans lining Scott Street during the annual “Community Christmas Parade” along Scott Street on Saturday evening. Santa's float, which also featured Mrs. Claus and a couple of elves, was decorated by the Fort Frances Voyageur Lions Club this year.
